Lacrimal

I have a bacterial infection in my eye.

And this is what I've been seeing every time I look in the mirror for the past few days.

Puffy eye that doesn't want to open, is super irritated, and watering like crazy.

Actually, it's been happening on and off for the past few weeks, and my husband finally made me go to the doctor, like a real eye Dr specialist, not just the ones you go to for your annual eye exam.

I imagined some terrible, horrible kind of "My word, man, why didn't you get here sooner?!" diagnosis, but it's just bacteria. And I use the word "just" very loosely.

THIS is what eye infections feel like?!?! Oh my gosh, this SUCKS so hard. It's painful, I look like a pirate that got beat up, and my eye will.not.stop.watering. On the plus side, at least I'm not contagious.

He gave me a free sample of medicine, and then a prescription that I should not fill until I run out of the sample because "It's really expensive,". If my doctor is telling me that, then I'm pretty sure I need to start figuring out which kidney I'm okay with selling. Hmm, lefty, you're looking good...

He also recommended that I get rid of all of my make up. And not wear any ever again. I wanted to be all like "Doc, seriously, look at me. I think we both know that that is not a wise decision.".
I may toss out the eye stuff I use a lot, since now all I can imagine are squiggly bacterium all over my make up. "Hell yeah we're bacteria, and we're doin' it in your eye shadow, beeeyyyoootttchhh!"
